IT Solution Architect

A leading global insurance company seeks a Solution Architect to help them build and deliver business solutions. This is a hands-on technical leadership role initially focused on building and maintaining their internal system. You will lead design and implementation partnering with business representatives and other solution architects in IT and will deliver continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Partner with the product owners and build the services with IT vendors
Manage and maintain the technical services and ensure all technologies are kept up-to-date
Control the service and maintenance activities of the system
Lead technology design and implementation of applications that include security, scalability, user experience (UX) and performance
Deliver continuous improvements in partnership with internal Business Units and other Solution Architects
Lead, manage and mentor a group of developers (internal and external)
Provide innovative ideas and solutions to problems

Experience

Delivery of strategic business-enabling applications, eventually managing a portfolio of applications
Managed or participated in large projects collaborating with regional/global teams and multiple stakeholders
Strong grasp of information security standards, principles and how they apply to business applications
Program or project management with excellent issue and risk management skills
Driven project and process improvements via commercial software packages
Strong working knowledge of technologies such as Java, Oracle, and Web technologies
Business level in Japanese and English
Understanding of ITIL preferred
