We are looking for a Backend / Full Stack developer for our client with 5+ years of relevant experience to enhance their E-commerce app. Successful candidates will join a highly skilled team and should be able to help define, clarify, develop, test, and deploy high-quality full stack solutions.
• Work in a team with proper engineering practices through design, code review, and pair programming
• Implement new API and UI features/architectures in cooperation with other team members, including those in our machine learning team
• Write clean, scalable, readable, and testable code, and deploy to production often
• Communicate effectively inside and outside the team
• Developing scalable and high performance applications that can run in Cloud/On-Prem environments.
• Create proper documentation for any features as needed
• Be able to effectively work in a team while also contributing to team’s productivity
• Recognize code inefficiencies and make suggestions for improvements, if applicable.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a similar technical discipline
• Experience in system design, development system which handles massive amount of transactions or requires scalability
• Strong coding and testing skills in TypeScript/Javascript, Python, Node.js etc
• Experienced with GraphQL API and API development in general
• Well versed with Databases like PostGres and Redis
• Familiarity with at least one testing framework and general testing methodologies ( eg Jest, Cypress, Performance and stress testing etc )
• Good communication skills in order to understand requirements from end users, product managers, technical team members.
• Experienced with CI/CD systems and can develop basic build/test pipelines
• Familiar with System monitoring and Observability etc
• Basic Japanese language ability.
• Experience refactoring and improving existing codebase
• Docker , Kubernetes, Istio, Helm and related skills
• Familiar with Cloud Service Providers eg AWS, GCP, Azure etc
• Software security practices and can implement security fixes
• Familiar with Distributed systems architecture eg Message-queue architectures
• Front End Development Experience and experience with Frameworks like React, Next JS etc
